Stanborough Park Church Short-term Volunteer
Stanborough Park Church is seeking a short-term volunteer to support the work of Stanborough Park Church in Watford between February 10th and August 10th 2024.
The address of the church is 609 St Albans Road, Watford, Herts. WD25 9JL. Accommodation will be provided for you at this address.
This position is divided into 2 major tasks:
1. Youth ministry volunteering in the church and in the community
2. Helping with practical tasks in the Stanborough Centre and for church activities
The first includes activities such as organizing Friday night programmes, leading/hosting meetings and being involved with the praise team. The volunteer will also help with Teen Social, Prayer Groups, Toddler Club and working with the youth and young adults within the church and community. It is a bonus if you sing or play an instrument like the piano or guitar.
The second involves helping with the operations of the Stanborough Centre, including setting/clearing up rooms for organisations booking the centre from Monday to Friday. Part of the week is spent in this second activity.
The successful candidate is required to be a willing team player and a practising, baptised Seventh-day Adventist member. This full-time opportunity is to volunteer for up to 6 months. During volunteering, work related travel and out of pocket expenses will be covered by the Stanborough Park church.
