London Area 6C Prays and Reaches Out to Hackney Community

As the summer holiday period drew to an end, the London Area 6C Prayer Ministries team were joined by members from various Area 6C churches in praying for the community at a local park in Hackney, East London on Sunday 25th August 2024. Many members of the public were open to receiving the spiritual, biblical-based literature being offered as well as prayers for themselves and their families. Members attending the community prayer day testified of the opportunities they had been given to not only get to know members of the public but to also share with them their personal testimonies of how they had come into the faith.

One member was able to make a mutual exchange with some fitness instructors – he receiving information regarding a new local gym he could sign up to while they received a health themed issue of Focus Magazine.

A member of the public of another denomination was open to receiving prayer for herself and her children after sharing some of the challenges they were facing. Other such encounters and experiences took place during the course of the day with members of the public showing interest in the Church given an invitation to attend one of our worship services.

London Area 6C Prayer Ministries Coordinator, Alex Dhlakama expressed his delight with how the day went. He said: “With support from our London Area 6C church members, we were able to not only pray for our local community with their various needs and challenges but to also spread the love of Jesus through the distribution of spiritual biblical based literature. Many members were able to testify of the goodness of God in their lives while we also got to hear from the community some of the various needs and challenges they were facing and needed praying for. It was a good day and we are thankful to those who made the time to commit to such an endeavor which, by God’s grace, we hope to repeat in the near future.”
